Priya Nair is the appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), a position she is set to assume officially on August 1, 2025. She is the first woman in the companys 92-year history to hold this position. 

‎Career and Background- Extensive Tenure Nair is a nearly 30-year veteran of HUL and Unilever, having joined as a management trainee in 1995.

‎Key Roles Her career trajectory within the company includes numerous sales and marketing roles across the Home Care, Beauty & Personal Care, and Beauty & Wellbeing divisions. She served as the Executive Director for Home Care, where she is credited with a significant business turnaround, and later as the Global Chief Marketing Officer and then President of Unilevers global Beauty & Wellbeing business.

‎Education She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, an MBA from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and has completed an executive education program at Harvard Business School.

‎Achievements Known for her deep consumer insights and brand-building expertise, she led iconic campaigns such as "Daag Achhe Hain" (Dirt is Good) for Surf Excel and has been recognized as one of the most influential Indian women in business. She also spearheaded the award-winning mobile marketing initiative "Kan Khajura Tesan," which reached millions of rural consumers. 

‎The New Role- ‎Nair will succeed the current CEO and MD, Rohit Jawa, who will step down on July 31, 2025. Her appointment for a five-year term has been met with strong investor confidence, with HUL shares surging following the announcement.
