
Amul Hits the 1 Lakh Crore Century
According to recent media reports Amul has officially crossed the ₹1 lakh crore ($12 billion) annual brand turnover milestone in Financial Year 2025-26. This achievement makes it the first Indian Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company to reach this mark.
Key Performance Highlights (FY 2025-26)
Total Brand Turnover: Exceeded ₹1,00,000 crore, a 11% increase from ₹90,000 crore in the previous fiscal year.
GCMMF Revenue: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), Amul's marketing arm, reported a turnover of ₹73,450 crore, up 11.4% from ₹65,911 crore in FY 2024-25.
Global Presence: The brand now operates in over 50 countries and recently expanded its fresh milk offerings into US and European markets.
Operational Scale: Supported by 3.6 million dairy farmers, Amul processes approximately 31 million litres of milk daily.
Growth Drivers
Value-Added Products: High demand for cheese, butter, ghee, ice cream, and protein-rich dairy products significantly fueled the revenue surge.
Rural Penetration: Aggressive distribution expansion into smaller Indian towns with populations over 5,000 enhanced its domestic reach.
Quick Commerce: Integration with platforms like Blinkit and Zepto helped maintain a 93% availability rate for high-margin products.source google.
This milestone was announced by GCMMF Chairman Ashokbhai Chaudhary, who attributed the success to the collective effort of the cooperatives farmer members.
